"Art has always been my way of coming home."
I grew up on the Albanian coast, surrounded by flower gardens tended by my mother and grandmother. In our home, beauty was never decoration — it was something necessary, something nurtured by hand. That understanding has followed me across every country I have lived in, every language I have learned, and every painting I have created.
I earned my BFA and MFA in Graphic Art and have lived and worked across Albania, Switzerland, and the United States, studying with artists from different traditions and absorbing different ways of seeing. While I speak several languages, the visual language came first.
My work lives at the intersection of two enduring influences: flowers and the sea. Both appear delicate, yet hold immense power beneath the surface. Through abstraction, I explore that tension — the coexistence of beauty and strength, stillness and movement, grief and joy.
Years spent along Florida’s Gulf Coast deepened a connection I already carried within me. The light on the water, the endless horizon, and the shifting reflections reminded me of the shores of Albania. Though I now live and work in Texas, every painting begins with a memory of water.
My work is an invitation to slow down, look deeper, and reconnect with the emotional landscapes that shape us.
